I have a pendent made from a off cut of a victorian cable (marine?) how do I identify this item?
the cable was a steel/wire armourd with a copper core 10 smaller around a thicker central solid core then two layers each of a diffrent inulating mattriel. the steel wires(13) then a brass covering finaly a outer black sheath
the slice of cable is about one quater of an inch thick, mounted in a silver suround so the cross section can be seen when worn as a pendent on a chain. the width of the cross section is just under an inch

If so, what is the pendant made from, as this might help to identify the cable. Is there a pendant suspended on the cable, or is the cable coiled into a pendant.
